Irrigational Sterling Water Conditioner
The Sterling Water Conditioner is an efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly water conditioner that delivers results. A number of Sterling Water Conditioner benefits can be applied to irrigation applications, in particular reduced scale build up on distribution equipment. Spray heads, valves and distribution pipes remain clear and maintenance free.
Scale Build Up:
- Irrigating with hard water for residential, turf or agricultural purposes causes scale encrustations on spray heads, emitters, valves and irrigation equipment.
- Hard water produces a layer of hard pan which acts as a barrier for water struggling to saturate the soil.
- Irrigation equipment will need to be replaced more frequently.
- Over spray from irrigation equipment leads to a white chalky deposit on buildings and sidewalks.
Acid Injection Treatments:
- Soil with a layer of hard pan will require acid treatment on a frequent basis.
- Expensive specialized equipment is necessary for acid injection treatments.

- Training and certification of personnel is often required.
- Acid injections can be harmful to people, irrigation water supplies and crops.
- Liquid acid, used in acid injection equipment, is a hazardous material and the most expensive form of acid.
Benefits of the Sterling Water Conditioner:
- The Sterling Water Conditioner uses Electro-kinetic technology which reduces the surface tension of water and alters the physical characteristics of calcium carbonate, allowing water to permeate the soil better leading to less wasteful runoff.
- The life of the irrigation equipment will be prolonged.
- Scale build up on spray heads, emitters, valves and irrigation equipment will be reduced because the Sterling Water Conditioner keeps the hard water particles in suspension reducing the effects of hard water.
- The need for acid injection treatments is eliminated.
- Fertilizer absorption will improve, reducing the amount required to achieve the same results.
Did you know?
- In 2000, 40% of the available fresh water in the U.S. was used for irrigation.
- Over 49,000,000 acres of agricultural land are irrigated in the United States.
- In the United States there are approximately 1,000,000 acres of golf course turf.
- The Sterling Water Conditioner is an effective algaecide against some algae.
